Whitney Nevins Justice
I obtained my Master's of Arts Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Richmont Graduate University.
I also obtained certificates of specialization in both trauma counseling and addictions counseling from Richmont Graduate University.
I believe in the resilience of the human spirit and that individuals, couples, and families have many strengths with which to work and build upon. I practice from a strengths-based perspective in many ways, but strive to help clients identify stressors and elicit healthy growth and change.
I am proficient in Spanish and I have experience conducting individual, couples', and family therapy in Spanish. I would love to work with you in English, Spanish, or a combination of both, depending on your preference/needs.
I was born and raised in Atlanta, Ga. I attended the Lovett School, followed by the University of Georgia, where I earned a B.S. in Psychology and B.A. in Spanish, with a minor in Child and Family Development.
I feel blessed to still be living and working in my home town. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two dogs, Bridger and Ellie, especially in the mountains. Sometimes I will bring my little dog, Ellie, with me to sessions. Please let me know in advance if you have a fear of dogs or a dog allergy.
“The chief beauty about time
is that you cannot waste it in advance.
The next year, the next day, the next hour are lying ready for you,
as perfect, as unspoiled,
as if you had never wasted or misapplied
a single moment in all your life.
You can turn over a new leaf every hour
if you choose.”
